Désirée is an internationally recognised thought leader in sustainability and responsible investment, with a rare combination of environmental science, ecological economics, and institutional investment expertise.
She specialises in ESG integration, climate risk data and analytics, and active stewardship—designing, implementing, and scaling robust strategies that solve for climate and environmental crises while driving sustainable growth.
A senior executive with deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, low-carbon strategies, infrastructure planning, and ESG reporting, Désirée anticipates global trends and navigates complex market dynamics with precision. Her collaborative, performance-driven leadership has shaped best-in-class responsible investment and sustainability programs across corporate, investor, and policy landscapes.
Désirée is a Technical Expert Group advisor to the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), an Honorary Associate at UTS Business School (Finance Department) and, formerly, an Industry Mentor at RMIT Online. She has contributed to initiatives with the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) and Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking (IAST APAC). She holds an MSc in European Environmental Policy & Regulation from Lancaster University, a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
